Finally, Komodo managed to crawl to the position at The New7Wonder voting. Unfortunately, a report on Thrusday (3/2) started that a problem occured early this mont, bringing a posibility that the animal could be erased from the list finalists.
It all started from Indonesian Ministery of Culture and Tourism's and refusal of housting announcement event. The goverment must pay 45 million USD (IDR 400 million) to host the event in Jakarta.
"I don't have heart of spending that much money to host the event" said the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Jero Wacik. The New7Wonders director then threatened to erese Komodo if Indonesia refused to host the event. "they can erese it, but we will keep promoting it" he added.
